
Donald Rumsfeld dead at 88.
Donald Rumsfeld, was the former U.S. defence secretary who was the main architect of the Iraq war that killed more than half a million people.
He was eventually replaced by President George W. Bush after the United States found it self bogged down by a prolonged occupation and Iraq insurgency after 3½ years of fighting. Rumsfeld was never charged for orchestrating the war nor other alleged crimes. He has died at age 88, his family said in a statement on Wednesday.
